Our Journey

At Divergent Thinking, we help organisations rethink how they support and include neurodivergent talent—through bold ideas, honest conversations, and practical action.

Founded by Nat Hawley, our services is built on a unique blend of lived experience and scientific insight. With a Master’s in Applied Neuroscience and firsthand understanding of dyslexia, dyspraxia, and autism, Nat Hawley brings a perspective that goes beyond theory. We combine systems thinking, behavioural science, and real-world insight to create solutions that truly work.

Divergent Thinking is the space where all of this comes together. It’s where organisations explore fresh approaches, challenge assumptions, and implement practical strategies that make inclusion a reality—not just a goal.
Our journey is guided by a simple idea: when organisations embrace neurodiversity, everyone benefits. We partner with teams, leaders, and HR professionals to foster workplaces that are not only inclusive, but innovative, resilient, and impactful.
About our founder
Nat Hawley is a UK-based neurodiversity consultant, speaker, and strategist. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London, which he combines with lived experience as an autistic, dyslexic, and dyspraxic individual.
This unique blend of scientific expertise and personal insight underpins his approach to helping organisations design practical neuro-inclusive approaches, ensuring systems and cultures are supportive of different thinkers.
Nat was named to Bournemouth University’s “30 Under 30” list of outstanding young alumni, reflecting his early impact in his field. He has been nominated for multiple national awards, including being a Pride of Britain Award nominee and a finalist for an Autism Professional of the Year award. Nat Hawley recognised by HRH The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) for his heroism, international fundraising efforts, and public speaking on behalf of people with disabilities.
